Payroll & Central Services

The function of the Clerk's Payroll Division is to provide effective and efficient payroll services to not only the employees of the Clerk's office, but also to the employees of the Board of County Commissioners as well. The services provided are the processing of hours worked, resulting in either a hard copy paycheck for some, or the direct deposit of wages through ACH services.

The Clerk's Payroll Division is also responsible for the timely filing of all taxes relative to the processing of payroll. Quarterly reporting is completed by the Clerk's Payroll Division for the following agencies: Highlands Country Clerk of Courts, Board of County Commissioners, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and the Sheriff's Office. Quarterly reporting consists of filing the 941 quarterly report as well as unemployment information.
