Pursuant to Florida Statute, the Clerk of Courts oversees the sale of tax deeds and is responsible for determining who may be entitled to surplus money left over from a sale.  The Clerk is authorized to refer issues involving tax deed surpluses to a private attorney.  The Highlands County Clerk currently uses The Law Offices of Travis R.
